I’m Sailing Away…

On my beautiful ballooooOOOOoonnnn...

Now, let us have a moment of silence...

Oh yes, time for last nights art! Instead of doing the usual muscled and skinned model, I did a skeleton! It seems as if I am slowly improving on faces, and that is a good thing.

Ah yes, and let's take a gander at todays am drawings, I like the imaginary pose best.

  1. I am super offended by your comic in the first set of drawings!!! John your a big butthead!! Is this you subliminal way of trying to tell me i’m fat?! I am not fat, I’m pregnant….the baby is the fat one. geezzz

nice video by the way…is that how monks play the wii?
all you need is brown robe.

    • Oh Katherine, you know I would NEVER call a pregnant woman fat, besides you, of course.

Monks play the wii with 50+ more candles, but we are on a budget, I did not even get my brown robe ;-;.

  5. It’s great that you’re studying the skeleton. I’ve come to think of drawing as like building a house…The skeleton is the frames, which need to come first or the house can’t stand up. It’s so great that you’re focusing on building a good framework!

    Also, very fun video. XD

    • Oh thank you JoJo, your very right though, focusing on what was underneath showed me so much more of what was going on, and what I need to work on to make my drawings feel that much more alive. Excuse the run on sentance.

  6. Greatings, Can i take a one small photo from your site?
    Thanks
    Pett

  7. Oh, sorry John! I forgot to comment and tell you how much I liked your face and hair study! And I really liked the skeleton…good stuff! I could never have the patience to draw. It’s not for lack of trying, I’m just easily distracted. *winkwink* You’re just getting better and better John! I can’t wait to see what you’ll learn from SCAD! Love ya!
    Kate
